Our Story

How it all began.

Seven years ago, David and I were on vacation in Asia and had just finished a nature hike. We were tired, sweaty, walking back to our car in the park parking lot when we stopped dead in our tracks. There it was. This tiny, impossibly cute car we'd never seen before. Round headlights, a convertible top, pastel everything.

We stood there for way too long just staring at it. Something about it felt like it was from another era, like it had driven straight out of a dream. We looked at each other and just knew.

We've been dreaming about owning one ever since. There's something about this car that feels like more than just a car. It's the kind of thing that turns heads, sparks joy, and makes a moment feel genuinely special. That vintage, retro charm is exactly what we want to share with others, helping people mark the moments that matter and create memories that last a lifetime.

What exactly is this? Is it a car rental?
This is a photoshoot experience, not a car rental. We bring the Figaro to your location as a styled photography prop and backdrop. You use the session time to shoot with it alongside your own photographer. We handle everything else.
When do bookings open and what does the waitlist get me?
Bookings open in early 2026 for 2027 dates. Waitlist members get notified first, before we open to the public, and lock in our early bird rate: the lowest pricing we will ever offer. It costs nothing to join and there is no obligation to book.
Do I need my own photographer?
Something Blue is designed to work with your photographer. If you do not have one yet, we are happy to connect you with Toronto photographers who know how to make the most of the Figaro.
Where do you travel?
We serve Toronto and the GTA, including Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington, Markham, and surrounding areas. For Niagara-on-the-Lake, Prince Edward County, or Muskoka, reach out and we will see what we can do.
What if it rains?
The Figaro has a retractable hardtop that photographs beautifully in any weather. We have a rain rescheduling policy and will always find a solution.
